Tell us about yourself
If I had to limit myself to adjectives, I am ‘creative’, ‘independent’, ‘transparent’ (in motives and action), ‘approachable and friendly’. According to me, the sole motive of our lives is to spread happiness wherever we go and that’s something I live for. I am a patron for ‘Work Smart’ approach to work and not just hard work. I believe in ‘Go with the flow’ motto in life.

Tell us about your college
Well, as all of know that Xaviers is one of the most happening place to be and yes, it surely is. Not just in terms of fun but also faculty. Being in Xaviers gives a different meaning to BMS course altogether. And of course beyond BMS also Xavier’s catalyzes individual growth.

When did you join BMS? Which year you are in?
I joined BMS in 2009, and currently I am doing my SY.

What inspired you to choose BMS and not any other course?
I was always an IIM aspirant and was looking for a course which gives me experience at the graduation level itself, thus BMS was the ultimate course to be in.

According to you, what is BMS all about?
In my opinion, BMS is a course that teaches how to apply the words printed in the books. Application-based knowledge is what defines BMS and makes it unique.

What’s special about your college? What do you love about it?
Our college speciality is college Foyer(canteen) and that is something that I love about the college. And second best thing about college is that it gets all students involved in extra-curricular even after keeping academic wellness intact.

Who is your favorite teacher/faculty? Why?
My favorite professor was Prof. Kishu Daswani, Business Law professor. He taught us law in such a way that wherever we guys used to go we could find industrial laws around us. The laws came alive for us.

What has BMS life taught you?
BMS life has taught me that Actions speak louder than words.

What was the happiest moment in BMS? The saddest? The most memorable?
The most memorable moment in BMS was our law presentations which were held in Khandala in Xavier’s Villa. The happiest was when I scored a 78% in FYBMS 2nd semester. And saddest was when I was not allowed to give exams of the 1st semester due to shortage of attendance(Though I managed!)

As a BMS student, what changes would you like to bring in management education?
As a BMS student, there is nothing much that I can crib about but the only thing that all colleges should take seriously is the Case-Study method of teaching the theory part of the subjects. Telling students to read up on a particular topic and instead of teaching them, they should have a group discussion over the topic.

What would you advice someone planning to do BMS?
If you have it in you what is needed to be a leader, then Go for it and if you don’t have it then you have all the more reasons to go for BMS because it will teach you how to emerge as a real life leader!

What are your future plans?
My future, as is often, is not at all planned. But I have a fair idea as to where I will be heading after BMS. If I get placement in a well-reputed company, I would go for the job for a year or so, if not then MBA is sure.

What are you expecting out of BMS?
Out of BMS all I am expecting is to provide a strong base for my MBA.

How do you find BMS.co.in? What help should it provide in future?
Bms.co.in is a wonderful initiative to get all the BMS students in one place and have an idea pool. It should concentrate more on interactive topics, and should invite ideas from students in such a manner that students themselves would want to come in. Topics like Entrepreneurship should be discussed.
