2,000 villagers missing underneath a massive landslide in Afghanistan has now disappeared. After heavy rains triggered a slide that submerged one third of all the homes in Afghanistan on Friday, rescuers armed with shovels rushed to help residents in the Argun district. Only 15 bodies have been recovered so far and the village was buried under piles of rubble.
Aid supplies have reached the area and tents are being  set up for survivors who have been evacuated to higher valleys. The damage was caused by 2 landslides from the hilly terrains. The first landslide was a smaller one covering a few houses and the second landslide came down which buried the rescuers and more houses.
