Bohag Bihu or Rangali Bihu or Rongali Bihu or Haat Bihu is a festival celebrated in Assam as the beginning of the Assamese New Year on 13th April 2014. During Rongali or Rangali Bihu, there are 7 phases – Choti Bihu, Raati Bihu, Manuh Bihu, Kutum Bihu, Mela Bihu and Chera Bihu. It marks the beginning of the sowing season of rice.
