A very unusual complaint was received from a student of a BMS college (name withheld on request) in, this student complained of having to face discrimination in the college just because he isn’t from the Non-minority background.
We found this strange so we investigated further and found out that this discrimination goes up to ridiculous levels. These Non- Minority students are given least or no importance at all. These students call it new methods of mental torture.
Strict dress code for girls and a watchman at the gate that scrutinizes you before you enter the college every day just to make sure you’re dressed appropriately! Sounds unbelievable right? It did to us too, but this is the reality.
Ultimately if they are completely covered, how can girls tolerate some one staring at them top to bottom on the pretext of ensuring that they are properly dressed! Not forgetting the fact that they are given a threat of reduction in internal marks for anything that the college wants them to do, like going for an I.V or attending the college annual day.
 Unconcerned management, unsupportive faculty and dictatorship methods used for running the college, absolutely no student can survive here! With this pre-historic mentality of the management these students don’t have any source of recreation too, no college fests or any other kind of extracurricular activities that all college students feel privileged to experience.
Another very shocking revelation was the way in which the faculty members made very personal remarks at the students and constantly criticized their upbringing and family values. Feeling Embarrassed and facing humiliation on a daily basis is what all the non-minority students are subjected to on a daily basis.
In this complaint, the best part that we appreciated about the student who came to us was his ability to stand up against the college and be willing to take this step while majority of his college mates are willing to crib but not take any action fearing a back-lash from the college.
Taking advise from current or past students before we take admission in a college is a must, also is having the guts to stand up and speak against what you feel is wrong. BMS ko bol diya, inke college ke intolerable atrocities ko humne expose kar diya!
We sincerely hope that every BMS student who reads this realizes the bad condition of the students in this college and make your best efforts to discourage any student who unknowingly is planning to take admission and setting up his life for such a disaster. Â
This is something which is not at all expected at least in this time frame. I understand the old days of college but in today’s time and with our growing and smart generation, such things are intolerable and I totally can imagine the condition of it. Time has changed, things should improve and not should be degraded hence all the colleges should behave in a modern and broader way. This will help all the student to show and express their potential and do the best in their own respective fields.
