Bram Cohen is the Chief Scientist and Founder of BitTorrent, Inc. and the creator of the BitTorrent file distribution protocol, which he grew to be a third of all Internet traffic before taking any funding. He is currently working on BitTorrent Live, a new protocol to enable limitless scaling of live video content on the Internet. Before founding BitTorrent, Bram worked at a series of start-ups through the dot-com boom doing web development and networking protocols in the early days of the Internet. Bram grew up in Manhattan, and currently lives in the Bay Area with his family.
