Impossible! Religion and politics are totally different. And bringing both together on similar grounds is stupidity and a threat to the nation. But what’s the use of telling this? Already religion is being used in politics to play the ‘Political Game’ for seats and authority.
When Sonia Gandhi was selected as our Prime Minister, the entire nation was in turbulence. Some were in favor of this decision that now she will follow the Nehru culture and may prove to be a great leader as Indira Gandhi. But some were of the opinion that she is not an Indian, she is an Italian, and so she cannot become the Prime Minister of India. So they were opposing it in a violent way like creating riots, havoc among the public and all. This is where politics is mixed with religion and nationality. It was after the havoc, it was decided to elect Dr. Manmohan Singh as our Prime Minister and he finally took the oath.
Politics should be for the benefit of the nation and not for authority. Whoever is elected as politicians by the general public is elected so that they can be representatives of the people and get them out of their problems and improve their living. But it has never happened till now! Why??
When elections are at peak, politicians influence their religion people, the tribal people and assure them that he is their “own” and will work for them. And if they are in great number, it’s a boon for that politician. Those illiterate poor have no idea what the dirty game has in stake for them. Once the elections are over, everything over. Then “who are you?” attitude prevails.
Religion, caste, nationality, sects are different aspects which should not be mixed with politics. But Indian scenario has its ‘base’ over these aspects and unfortunately it has flourished like anything. Poor minds get influenced easily because they are ignorant and it’s not a big deal for these ‘big sharks of politics’ to fool them.
When it comes to politics, the words turn bitter, it’s because the willing persons who really want to turn the scenario into better are helpless and if they get down to fight they are perished in no time. This is what is happening on the grounds of politics in India and there is no one to ask.
However, the scenario is slowly changing now and there is a ray of hope visible for a revolution. With youth leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Menka Gandhi and many other role models, who have come out to lead the political culture, and change it for good, we young Indians should also initiate and support them. Throw off the fear and fight! When it’s the whole of India on the “Kurukshetra”; a handful of politicians would mean nothing before us! Those are really bad and are influencing others like rotten mangoes should be thrown out of the basket before the entire scenario becomes worst. Fearing and hiding inside the shell is not the solution. Joining hands and having the “We are Indians” attitude will revive our India in a brilliant way! So let’s come together and fight for our own India!
