The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has informed, through the State Government, that admission procedure for the year 2013-14 MBA programmes in AICTE approved Institutions, University Departments and PGDM Institutions shall be as under:
a) Admissions for MBA course for 2013-14 will be as per CMAT scores.
b) That best of the two CMAT scores will be used for admission to Master of Business Admission (MBA) for 2013-14.
c) That those candidates who could not appear in earlier CMAT can appear for CMAT (Additional Test) to be conducted by AICTE during May 2013 by registering online, the notification for the same will be issued by AICTE shortly in leading newspapers.
d) Only better of the two scores, including tests conducted earlier in September 2012 and February 2013 will be used for admission.
e) Karnataka Examination Authority will make admissions to the government quota seats (50% of total approved intake) as per the merit list of CMAT 2013-14 for admissions to MBA course.
f) Similarly, the Institutions which impart MBA will also follow the merit list of CMAT 2013-14 to fill their quota of seats.
The concerned Principals of affiliated colleges have also been informed of the above procedure to be followed from the academic year 2013-14 while making admission for MBA course.
