Community Shield is a Charity match which is played a week before the new English Premier League Season start. It is the season’s curtain raiser. It is played between the Premier League title winners of previous season and the F A Cup winners, so this season there will be no Manchester United who are the regulars but it will be Manchester City the league winners playing Arsenal who won the FA Cup after 9 years. Two great teams will be playing each other for the Community Shield title.
This is an official friendly which technically doesn’t have that great of a value as it is just a friendly but when the teams arrive on the field, it becomes as competitive as an official game and two teams fight for to win. It is an important match especially to boost the confidence and show ahead of the new season. It is played at the Wembley stadium in front of 90000 people and especially for young players it is a great experience to play at one of the biggest stadiums in world football.
Arsenal has bought few players and one who stands out is Alexis Sanchez who will surely feature against Man City and will be mouthwatering to see him play in English Premier League. All the German internationals will be missing the game so no Mesut Ozil fellas. Manchester City haven’t been in the transfer market much this summer, with defensive midfielder Fernando the most notable signing also getting Frank Lampard on loan will baffle many Chelsea fans, but lack of transfer activity has much to do with Financial Fair Play, though City are surely in for a defender.

Community Shield will be played on Sunday 10th of August and both the teams will hope to make a mark before the epl season starts.
