So we’ve come a long way, going in and out of fashion on various stages. But one item in that is a constant closet item and never goes out of fashion? T-shirts of course. Any color, any size, any pattern. U name it! When it comes to these pieces of clothing, your creativity can flow without any limit.
The best thing about T-shirts is that it is unisex clothing and hence can be worn by anyone and on top of practically anything; be it jeans, trousers or skirts and is probably the most comfortable outfit in your wardrobe. These days, t-shirts come in a variety of logos of various worldly things like superhero symbols, company logos, short captions, cool tag names, brand names, celebrity icons, music bands and the list goes on.
These things have become so popular that just by looking at the T-shirt of a person, we could know what he/she is likes or dislikes.
For the abstract and unconventional ones, they could design their own t-shirts with their innovation and skills. All you need to do is get your own plain t-shirts from wholesale or thrift stores and then splash out your imagination with some brushes and a few tubes of acrylic paint. And the best thing is that, one doesn’t need to be an artist to accomplish this.
You could just get a cool tag and paint down the words…it would be your own raw-styled shirt! Or if you are the lively types, you could just splash out a variety of colors on your t-shirt and make it your holi special shirt!
Just don’t go for completely fluorescent colors of shirts because..well, its eyes repellent, to be blunt. Also, try not to get too extreme on slangs because making your shirt too obscene would just make your places to wear it rather limited. Not being orthodox here, just sensible.
Over sized tees look awesome with three-forth or full leggings paired with a sling bag and flip flops. If you have tees with really deep necks or the elastics near the neck area wearing off, you could always make that more lose and wear it as off shoulder. If you want to go a little more wild, then just grab a pair of scissors and cut off a well fit tee from the middle in whatever pattern you desire and make it a crop top which would go with jeans and skirts.
You could also cut it in strips from the end which would give it a very sassy look if worn with shorts or flannel skirts. And for those whose parents would freak if they cut up their tops, you could always tie a knot in the side with a chunky hairband or something and wear it over a tank, camisole or simply like a crop top. This style is also very chick and looks adorable with shorts, miniskirts or a pair of well fit jeans.
These are just a few of the million possibilities that you could do when you got your weapon- a plain t-shirt. Quote of advice, don’t limit yourself and you’ll be overwhelmed to see the things you come up with. It’s a lovely way to increase your creativity isn’t it? So do chalk out some of your time and give this a thought next time you want to go shopping!
