The 2014 World Cup semi final didn’t go the way Brazil had hoped. The 7-1 loss to Germany is one of the worst in World Cup history, and Brazil fans couldn’t hide their disappointment. Of course, any sports fan knows what it’s like to deal with loss. One thing we can all agree on: everybody gets hurt…sometimes. It looked more like a funeral than a soccer tournament. However, most economists felt that the tournament is probably a moneymaker.
