Everything You Need To Know About Second Counselling For DU BMS Admission 2015

University of Delhi has released a notification about the second counseling and admission procedure for BMS 2015.

The venue for second counseling is as follows:

General category students have to be present at the below venue-

Room No. 117, Faculty of Applied Social Sciences & Humanities, Arts Faculty Building, University of Delhi, South Campus, Near Dhaula Kuan, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi – 110021.

Reserved category students have to be present at the below venue-

S.P. Jain Auditorium, University of Delhi, South Campus, Near Dhaula Kuan, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi – 110 021.

Date and time for second counseling is 10th July 2015, Friday from 10am onwards.

 

Candidates who are eligible for BMS course are for the below colleges:

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies,

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College and

Keshav Mahavidyalaya.

 

Procedure for Second Counselling of BMS:

Students have to personally present in the counseling sessions for which their rank is invited. In case a student is unable to present oneself, he / she can send any representative with an authority letter signed by the student alongwith the original / copy of admit card of Joint Admission Test (JAT) 2015.

Students or representatives who are not present in the counseling session (when their rank is called) in which they are eligible for allotment of college / course shall not be entertained for admission at any later stage.

Students are allotted the respective college and course as per their merit rank and the choice of preference given by the student at the time of counseling subject to the availability of seats.

During the counseling session, students will be issued admission slips mentioning the college / course allotted. Students offered admission on 10th July 2015 (II Counselling) are required to report to the college and deposit the fees on 11th and 13th July 2015 from 10am to 1pm at the college allotted alongwith the relevant documents in original.

In case of a tie for rank for the last seat in a course and college, the rank will be decided on the basis of 10th class CBSE or its equivalent exam result. In case the tie still exists then Date of birth will be the criteria for deciding the final rank. An elder candidate will be given a higher rank.

To avail any change in their college / course in subsequent counseling /s, the candidate should have necessarily deposited the fees and fulfilled the remaining admission formalities in their respective college (allotted in the previous counseling) by the stipulated date, failing which the candidate loses the right to admission as well as a right to exercise any choice later.

Subject to further availability of seats counseling sessions is likely to be held on 15th July 2015, Wednesday. The lists for the same will be displayed a day before the scheduled counseling on the websites www.du.ac.in and www.sscbsdu.ac.in

DDU College:

KMV College:

  • General – 6
  • OBC- 2
  • SC – 1
  • ST – nil
  • PWD – nil
  • CW – 02

 

Instructions to candidates:

  1. Students are advised to report 30 minutes in advance.
  2. Counselling will be held as per the above scheduled subject to the availability of seats in the respective category. As and when seats are filled, no further counseling will be held on that day for that category.
  3. Students should have necessarily deposited the fees and fulfill the remaining admission formalities in their respective college (allotted in the previous counseling) by the stipulated date, failing which the candidate loses the right to admission as well as a right to exercise any choice later.
  4. SC / ST/ PWD / CW/ OBC candidates can also seek admission on their own merit as applicable for the general category.
  5. For any further admission notice, please check the university website on 14th July 2015 at 5pm.

 

Documents required for admission /counseling for BMS:

  1. Candidate / representative should carry admit card (original and one self-attested photocopy) of Joint Admission Test (JAT) 2015 on the day of the counseling.
  2. Proof of date of birth (Class X board certificate, original and one self-attested photocopy OR Class X board mark sheet, original and one self-attested photocopy)
  3. Marksheet of the qualifying examination of Class XII / provisional certificate of Class XII or its equivalent issued by the Board / university (original and one self-attested photocopy).
  4. 3 recent identical passport size photographs.
  5. OBC (non-creamy layer – central list) / SC / ST/ PWD / CW certificate (in the name of the candidate) whichever is applicable, on the basis of which reservation is claimed (original and one attested photocopy).
  6. Latest Income Certificate (Income certificate from competent authority) of the parents of the candidate, if the candidate belongs to OBC category and the OBC Caste Certificate of the candidate issued before 1st June 2012.
  7. Conduct and Character certificate (not older than 6 months) from the Head of the Institute where the qualifying examination has been passed or from a Gazette Officer (original and one self-attested photocopy).
  8. Transfer certificate from school / college as well as Migration certificate from Board / University are required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.

 

Please note:

  1. For fees, contact the respective college.
  2. Refund of fees will be done as per university of Delhi guidelines.
  3. The admission offered to candidates is provisional.
  4. It is subject to approval of University of Delhi and verification of documents submitted at the time of the admission to the respective college.
  5. University will accept self-attested copies of documents / papers provided by the students.
  6. It is made clear that if any false attestation or falsified records are detected, students will be debarred from attending any course in the university or its colleges for next 5 years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC viz. 470, 471, 474 etc. will be instituted against him / her.
