Examination will be held as per Semester System prescribed by Mumbai University, i.e. at the end of every Semester the examination will be held for the specified subjects.

| A student shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each theory paper (where the theory paper consists of Internal Assessment & Semester End Examination) with minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 16 out of 40) in the Internal Assessment and 40% marks in Semester end examination (i.e. 24 out of 60) separately to pass the subject and minimum of grade C in each project wherever applicable to pass a particular semester. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| PERFORMANCE GRADING | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The PERFORMANCE GRADING of the student shall be on the SEVEN point ranking system as under : | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The performance grading shall be based on the aggregate performance of Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination.

| II. | CARRY FORWARD OF THE MARKS IN CASE IF THE STUDENT FAILS IN ONE OR MORE SUBJECTS : | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| a. | A student who PASSES in the Internal Examination but FAILS in the Semester End Examination of the theory paper shall reappear for that theory paper. However his/her marks of the Internal Examinations shall be carried over but he/she shall be entitled for grade “E” on passing. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| b. | A student who PASSES in the Semester End Examination but FAILS in the Internal Examination of the theory paper shall reappear for the Internal Examination of that theory paper. However his/her marks of the Semester End Examination shall be carried over but he/she shall be entitled for grade “E” on passing. The Internal Examination for reappearing students will consist of one project of 40 marks which will be divided into 20 marks for the hard copy of the project, 10 marks for the presentation and 10 marks for the viva. |

III. ALLOWED TO KEEP TERMS (ATKT) :
a. A student shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of number of heads of failure in the Semester I.
b. A student shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passes each of Semester I and Semester II.
OR
A student fails in not more than two papers of Semester I and Semester II taken together where the total marks does not exceed 200.
c. A student shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of number of heads of failure in Semester III. However the student has to pass each of Semester I and Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV.
d. A student shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV.
OR
A student shall pass Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester III and Semester IV taken together where the total marks does not exceed 200.
e. A student shall be allowed to keep term for Semester VI irrespective of number of heads of failure in the Semester V.
f. The result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the student passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V.
ADDITIONAL EXAMINATION
There will be one additional examination for semester I, II, III and IV for those who have failed or remained absent. The absent student will be allowed to appear for the examination by the head of the institution/after following the necessary formalities of medical/special ground. This examination will be held 30 days the declaration of results but not later than 60 days.
EVALUATION OF PROJECT
a. A student who PASSES IN ALL THE THEORY PAPERS BUT DOES NOT secure minimum grade of C in project as applicable has to resubmit a fresh project till he/she secures a minimum of grade C. His/her marks in the theory papers that the student has passed will be carried forward but he/she shall be entitled for grade “E” on passing.
b. The evaluation of project and viva-voce examination shall be by awarding grade in the seven point scale as given in (I) above.
c. A student shall have to obtain minimum of grade C (or its equivalent marks) in project evaluation and viva/voce taken together to obtain 40% marks in project work.
Industrial visits are not compulsory and the college should not charge fees prescribed for industrial visits if the Industrial visits are not organized.

the syllabus has changed but still atkt exams happen for old syllabus. please check with the university/respective college and buy atkt forms

i have cleared my semester 1, but in my second semester i got a copy case, so i was asked to sit for all the kt exams, in which i got 2 kts (math and accounts), they promoted me to my second year, i just finished my third semester exams and i’m all clear but i also simultaneously gave my second semester kt exams, i am unsure about passing in my maths paper, if i fail in the math paper will i get a drop, am i allowed another chance to give my math 2nd semester kt?
Is it possible to give my 2nd semester kt in the the 4th semester if i don’t pass in this try???
By rule, You have to pass each of Semester I and Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV.
Or else, you will have to clear all the ATKTs and sit for Sem IV in next year

You can fill in the ATKT Exam Forms which is held in March-April 2013 and clear the exams

Yes. A student who has got any number of KTs in 5th sem can sit for lectures of sem 6. But before sem 6 exams, he has to appear for the ATKT exams of sem 5 and clear it.

I have got 2 kts in sem 5 , but my total is around 370 and have a first-class grade…I have come to know that eventhough if I clear my sem 5 atkt exams it will consider only as pass class in my combo result, please let me know this thing in detail and how may I score an aggregate of 60 at the end of my TY if my grade is weak as I require that much aggregate to appear for my CA level 2 registration. You are right in saying that clearing sem 5 would still mean pass class.
Please try hard and score well in sem 6 so that your total score of sem 5&6 is in first class. The final marksheet that you get would be both sem combined

but there is written new circular which is given above that if one sub kt is there in lower sem then student can appear for 6th sem but result is kept in abeyance until he clear lower sem where it may be sem 1 2 3 4 or 5th. go to your college , tell them , you will have to fill a form , send copies of all your previous marksheets and they will send your result in like 15-20 days

hello this is hitesh i would like to ask you my friend Sachin has received 3 kt in his 6th semester . When he asked college authorities they said only u have to give those papers in which you have flunked as you don’t need to give the rest . As he has filled only form for those 3 exams only

Hi, the duration is only 5 years within which you need to complete your graduation.

I cleared my a.t.k.t sem 6 in november 2013, after that i cleared sem 6 when i received my passing certificate they are showing PASS CLASS. My actual total score (5 and 6 sem) 692/1200.. so that means i will get 58% something… what is the meaning PASS CLASS.
I just gave my internals of fy 2nd sem. But I am failing in one subject. I wanted to change my college after first year. Can I do so after giving my additional exam of this particular subject in which i’m failing and passing in it in additional exam?
