Explain Independent cells in a Transportation Problem.

(i) Independent cells are those which do not form a closed loop with other occupied cells.

(ii) An infinitesimally allocation i.e. epsilon is added to an empty independent cell which carries lowest transportation cost to eliminate degeneracy.
