  • Tell us about yourself.

I am like every student who at the age of 20 is full of energy, hangout, and have fun with friends and family and Yes, I love eating. I am trained Bharatnatyam dancer. I know guitar little bit but still under training. I love to read novels, books especially which are motivational. Such books really help to bring the good out of us. One book I may recommend you guys to read is “The Magic Of Thinking Big”. I like to work sincerely and on time. I like participating in every activity and I am always enthusiastic to learn new things of different fields.

  • Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?

Frankly speaking I was not at all expecting. In fact I never Expect. I made my exams preparation hardly in 1 and half week and I’m not lying. It was because our college wanted us to submit our 200 marks project before boards and I was into project which consumed my good amount of days. I really regret if I would have done my project earlier this situation would have not created. And I would suggest everyone never expect I will get this much percent because when you expect and you don’t get, it really hurts instead try and work hard but smartly not like donkey, we are human beings we are born smart so study smartly even 2 weeks is more than enough to be thorough with all the subjects. Believe ME. Just trust yourself and don’t listen to any one.

  • Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?

I prepared exactly for just 1 and half weeks. During the whole semester we are stuck up with projects, presentations, hang outs and it’s a last year so more excitement and we tend and try to spend more and more time with our friends but later I realised it’s high time. But I never got scared infact challenged myself and worked hard and smartly in those 12 days. I studied everyday for almost 10-11 hours.

  • How did you allot time to different subjects?

Yes I made a self made Time table of 12 days. 1st 3 days allocated to Business Ethics completed almost all chapters except some 2-3 small chapters, then 2 days to Logistics as I was already thorough with the 1st 4-5 chapters of logistics which are very much important as it is the base. So revised and did remaining chapters but not everything I studied the whole last 5 yrs question pattern of each subject and accordingly made a decision on which topics to work and also we got help from our professors with regard to importance and weightage of each chapter.

  • Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?

I thank my HRM Professor because she made us slog and study the whole HRM in college itself by taking tests on regular basis. So I was tension free for HRM subject and I was left with 5 subjects so I started off with that subject which I studied least and that was Business Ethics and one more reason was Ethics is a new subject which was introduced just 2 years back so I thought this time anything can come so atleast I should be thorough with all the topics and concepts so completed almost all subjects of ethics in 3 days. Then I jumped on Logistics everyone hypes that logistics is a hard subject you will get ATKT and all. But I assure you it’s not. Be thorough with 1st 4 chapters nicely then you will find rest chapters are just the elaboration of those concepts and try not to mug up except definitions. I can’t mug at all. I understand, assimilate and bring it down on paper in my own words but make sure you don’t make grammatical mistakes improve your language skills try and use technical words and put as many diagrams and examples you can. I did the same that is why I could score so good and later I took one practical subject i.e. F.M. after two boring theory subject so as to bring in some variability after that I did SSM. In SSM I read sectors on the day of exam in the morning because those sectors are so easy which we see and get service in our day to day life and imagine and write it down its really simple. Last I did was SSF I was much scared about SSF so I did theory nicely and if by chance I couldn’t solve any practical question atleast I cud write theory. Guys, never go into over confidence please do theory as well in practicals it really helps you a lot because you never know what may come in exams.

  • Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

I don’t think classes are required. I joined only FM and SSF because I did my 11th and 12th in Science. So it was my life’s 1st board exam in finance so thought I should not take risk so joined. Even though every1 hyped about logistics I still didn’t go for any classes except FM and SSF but students who find practical’s hard and require help you may go for classes but personally if you ask me it’s not at all necessary and now in my 6th sem I didn’t join classes even for single subject even though professors say IF and OR mein bohot KT lagti hai… I didn’t bunk lectures of IF and OR I try and attend all lectures.

  • Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?

Yes, I did participate in various activities of my college. We are management students we must have all qualities and a right attitude. If we won’t do this what will be the difference between a normal BCom graduate and a BMS graduate. For what have we groomed for? I hosted my college inter-college fest participated in various events conducted by my college helped staff in magazine blog and I’m an active social person. My article on transgender has also been published in a magazine named “SANKRAMAN”

  • Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?

I did job after my 2nd year in vacation for 2 months for an Australian firm.

  • Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

Yes it does depress me and my family when we hear about such incidents but I never went to any stress because my family always supported me in all my decisions let it b shifting from science base to commerce base. Even though sometimes if I got less percentage they never made an issue infact they appreciated me always with what I have. During boards, I used to study whole night but my parents were like beta soja tension mat le hame chalega tuje kitne bhi percent aaye bas pass hojana lekin tu stress mat le teri tabiyat bigad jaegi… that’s what made me work harder 🙂

  • Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?

Yes, I think the exposure to industries as well as the working environment should be increased as well guest lectures by prominent professors should also be conducted which will help us a lot to grow. In my very 1st year our whole group visited Flair Company a pen manufacturing company for the project and we also visited cloth manufacturing company and rods manufacturing plant in Silvassa. We also visited Bisleri as a visit which was a part of our project.

  • Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?

Yes we are always flooded with lots of lots of work. I think colleges should make a timetable of internals as well and finish them off in a week and inform students beforehand so that they can prepare and in meanwhile they should inform us in advance about the projects and give sufficient time so that we can do all the work smoothly and then there will be less stress and we can enjoy as well 🙂

  • What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

I would just like to say that it would be your last year so enjoy, chill, hang out but at the same time just see to it atleast do your projects and assignments on time which will help you to keep you in good books of professors which will also help you to fetch good internal marks and when you get study holiday plzzz study seriously like a mad person… get in love with books, that’s it phir to kya exam ke baad maze he maze :p

  • What are the future plans post BMS?

I’m planning to take a break of 1 year and prepare for entrance exams and do a job and I will start learning French from French Embassy. In life U should learn properly to write and speak one foreign language of your choice..

BMS.co.in U have been a great support to students in all ways… whenever after exam I used to come home 1st thing which I did was jot down the important questions listed on your site which helped to a great extent and I’m still doing it. ALL THE BEST guys gr8 work and lots of love and wishes to everyone.
