How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?

Ans :  I was really surprised when I heard that I am topper of my college and I was very happy when I saw my marks I was feeling like yes I achieved something great. I really thank to all my teachers who supported me a lot and guided me in all areas whenever I asked them for. And my parents too for appreciating and encouraging me in all aspects they are my real strength. There is nothing like a success mantra but a sure focus of achieving something and stick to that focus with lot of hard work in studies is something which made me reach to this level.

Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?

Ans ;Yes, a proper and complete timetable of studying each subject makes your work easy. and it really make u free from tension of doing all 6 subjects in just 15 or 30 days’ always  I made my timetable at least 2 to 3 months before exams and the most important thing that studying each topic of the subject as it gets over in college. Sticking to only the college notes is not sufficient, yes it guided me but the reference books told by the faculties helped me solving my queries.

The practical subjects like SSFand FM need lot of practice and every day 4 to 5 sums of each topics makes clarity of the topics so I solved each type of sums in these subjects… And the subjects like service marketing and logistics require practical examples and diagrammatic representation so I practiced these subjects and understand the concepts of each topic.

Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

Ans :No…I have never joined any coaching classes. According to me going separately for coaching is time consuming…If student just pay full concentration in college lectures is more then enough and solving queries with the faculties makes us help to understand the subject…self study also helps us in examining our self too because it tells us how much I know from my side and how much hard work is required more.

What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?

Ans : I had chosen special studies  in finance because I was interested in knowing the financial aspects in the organization i.e. how it works in the organization..and looking at academic point of view it is one of the scoring subject I got 58/60 in ssf I think that’s why I was able to score high ..

Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?

Ans : I referred RPH and along with that studied from notes which were given in the college and I also made my own notes by referring to the reference books told by my faculties

Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?

Ans : My worst paper was financial management.. of course because I found it very lengthy and the sums were also of little higher level which I think was not required at this level. And my best paper was special studies in finance and service sector management because I was very much confident about these two subjects and so I found the papers easy too.

Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

Ans : I think committing suicide and all is stupid things which land students  nowhere, not as a good student and not as good person in life..There is nothing like any technique for stress management meaning I have not followed such technique rather just following my study timetable so that it makes me free from any tension during the exams and concentrating on the present…We can never be sure of future then how can one be so sure that he/she will fail..One should trust in himself/herself and develop a self-confidence which is very much required to be a successful person in life.

The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.

Ans : This is one of the most important aspect which plays prominent role in your mark sheet and preparing for a black book requires lot of hard work and guidance. I  studied my topic  thoroughly  and be sure of any question that can be asked…a lot of research work was done and going into the insights of the topic is really very important.

Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future plans?

Ans : Yes, currently I am doing CMA i.e. cost and management accountant’s course and I am planning to do CIMA after this…

Any tips and advises for your juniors?

Ans : As a young and mature people in life we know what we are doing and for what reason. So I think just 12 months i.e. 6 months for sem 5 and  6 months for sem 6 are the days which can tell you where u are and where u will go..So instead of knowing all the important things in life we should never ignore these things.

I just want to say prepare well, do well and achieve great things in life. Don’t panic during exams revise at least once and don’t be over confident…and have faith in urself…And have a self confidence which can add value in ur results… ALL THE BEST FOR ALL WHO ARE GIVING AND WHO WILL BE GIVING UNIVERSITY EXAMS………………….
