GOLDEN MAHARASHTRA – MEGA EXHIBITION

To commemorate the Golden Jubilee year of the Maharashtra State, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) in association with Government of Maharashtra, and MultiNet Worldwide has taken an initiative to organize a ‘Golden Maharashtra-Mega Exhibition’ from 28th April – 1st May, 2011 at BKC in Mumbai displaying large, medium, and small projects from the Government, Public, and private sectors.
Industry is the backbone of Maharashtra’s economy. Its industrial diversity, mega projects, status as a leader in project investment has positioned Maharashtra as India’s economic powerhouse and the most globally connected state in the country. The state aims to achieve economic development and perform well on the economic front so that it should be competitive enough to occupy a significant position and develop a competitive edge on global level. The forthcoming Expo will focus on displaying 50 years of achievements and future projects showcasing growth opportunities in the state across Government, Public Sectors, and Private sectors.
There will be a series of conferences focusing on the relevant issues impacting its economic growth in respect of its existing industries which includes chemicals, textiles, engineering, petroleum, automobiles and auto components, to keep up the current industrial momentum. This is a systematic effort to explore innovative methods to develop the potential sectors. Tata Strategic Management Group has joined the board as the Knowledge Partner for the conferences.
Maharashtra, the third largest state of the country is a rich source of art, culture, entertainment and amusements. It represents the urbanized spirit of the state. ‘Maharashtra Legends Award’, a grand felicitation of 50 jewels of the state, will be held to honour those who have contributed to take our state to greater heights and made proud.
Four-day power packed event will showcase life style of Maharashtra. It has got Bollywood, Culture, Cuisine, Fashion, Music, Dance and a lot in store. The Extravaganza will witness participation of Big-Wigs from all walks of life including bollywood celebs, socialites, youth, policy makers, and corporate leaders. This segment of the event is conceptualized and produced by LOWE LINTAS.
The GOLDEN MAHARASHTRA is being supported by major Trade Bodies, Associations, and International Diplomatic Offices. A 360 degree communication plan shall help bring visitors from across all stakeholders such as Policy Makers, leaders from National and International Corporate houses, Government Officials, Diplomats, and General Public from India and Abroad.
