In February 2014, Google Inc, world’s internet giant has acqui-hired SlickLogin which is an Israeli developer of sound-based password alternative i.e. SlickLogin’s staff and knowledge will be integrated into Google.
SlickLogin was just founded less than 2 months ago and the company is based on a novel idea to use smartphones and high frequency sounds for identity verification at websites. Although no financial figures of the transaction disclosed but the deal was finalized on Sunday.

SlickLogin was founded few months ago by Or Zelig, Eran Galili and Ori Kabeli who are recent graduates of Israel Defence Force’s cybersecurity unit.
SlickLogin founders’ have spent over 6 years working on the cutting edge of information security projects.
3 of them developed their product last year August and presented it at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco in September and officially formed the company in December 2013.
Google has purchased the technology alongwith the founders’ know-how to develop security technology.
SlickLogin is yet to launch the technology and hence, has no customers.
SlickLogin works on a smart identification technology which uses high-frequency sound waves in order to streamline the authentication login process for user.
The technology gets operated through a user’s smartphone and doesn’t require any complex interaction.
The security technology app runs on the user’s cellphone, picks up the sound, analyses it and sends back a signal confirming the person is an authorized user.
A user just has to place his/her smartphone near to their tablet/laptop and will be able to login.
