Happiness : True happiness, can be found only within. It depends on a reason’s desire to be happy, his attitude towards the events he is involved in and the way he is taking action.
It is not necessary that all the celebrities, millionaires, great musicians and artists are happy. If asked one might not get the positive response. Once Lata Mangeshkar said that she does not want to be Lata Mangeshkar, once again. if rebirth concept is there.
Permanent satisfaction can not be found even if one is very successful in professional life, in the external world. External factors can give pleasure but that is temporary. It only increases our greediness, restlessness, anxiety and stress.
Real joy and happiness lies within us. Indian tradition emphasises that in order to attain the blissful state which goes beyond materialistic happiness one needs to become spiritual. To be spiritual it is not necessary to be a secluded person, retreating from society, becoming a sage, taking sanyas and staying in the forest, leaving all the material belonging behind. No, it is not like that. Of course the individuals should use the material objects, the things they desire in life; but while using they need to treat those material objects as their slaves and they themselves should not become the slaves of those items. This is thought provoking.
