Anant Chaturdashi is the grandest Ganesha Festival celebrated all over India by Hindus and Jains with great enthusiasm and devotion marking the immersions of Lord Ganesha’s idols in the sea or rivers or lakes and it is considered as the last day of Ganeshotsav. In 2014, it is going to be celebrated on 8th September, Monday. On this day, the Ganesha idols are carried by a group of devotees dancing on the rhythms of band music. They carry Lord Ganesha in a joyful mood with slogans to welcome him early the next year.
