My college is situated in Bhandup. It has carved a niche for itself in this part of the city. Proud of my college…of course not everything is to be praised about but still I love it.
When did you join BMS? Which year you are in?
I joined BMS in 2008. I am in third year.
What inspired you to choose BMS and not any other course?
Various subjects which it offers. One get to learn new things & about various industries.
According to you, what is BMS all about?
BMS is a course designed for students to get acquainted with what management is all about.
What’s special about your college? What do you love about it?
Our college focuses on holistic development of students. I love my college because of their insistence on discipline.
Who is your favorite teacher/faculty? Why?
My favorite teacher is Venkat Sir. His way of teaching is very practical & interesting.
What has BMS life taught you?
BMS life has taught me many things, which contributes to my holistic development & makes me the person I am…
What was the happiest moment in BMS? The saddest? The most memorable?
Happiest-when I was selected in the core team of our intercollegiate festival …best experience. Saddest –when our first co-ordinator resigned. She was role model. Memorable- the moment when I got maximum votes & got elected as a class representative of the class.
Who in your life has influenced the most?
Mrs. Lata Swaminathan, our advisor/consultant.
As a BMS student, what changes would you like to bring in management education?
Current management education system is marks focused, whereas learning & educating students must be the main aim.
What would you advice someone planning to do BMS?
A very good course, introducing students to all industries & business. But does not specialize on any particular industry or skill.

What are your future plans?
Do a post graduate degree/diploma course get some work experience & learn business & finally becoming a successful entrepreneur & contribute to nation progress.
What are you expecting out of BMS?
As far as my experience is concerned, I never got proper guidance for any of my project work or Industrial visits. So, I suggest that University should issue some guidelines for the same.
How is BMS.co.in? What help should it provide in future?
A very good initiative, useful, informative. I would like following things to be added in website-a job portal of internship opportunities for BMS students. Information on books to be referred & website helpful for all subjects of BMS, career guidance, etc. But it is a great website & very helpful & informative.
