A glam makeup for the ballet is a must. Not only that but also under stage lights, it is difficult for audience members to make out facial features when no makeup is worn if seen from a distance. There are certain things you should keep in mind and follow these tips:-
1. Apply powder. Powder makes your skin look smooth. If you don’t wear enough, you might look shiny when you sweat.
2. Apply blush. Use a bright color and apply it right on top of the cheekbone. Start with the brush on your cheekbone and sweep it back to your hairline, right above your ear. Adding blush will give your face dimension.
3. Pencil in your eyebrows. This is only needed if you have pale skin or blond eyebrows. Use a dark eyebrow pencil and fill in using tiny strokes on the top half of your eyebrow.
5. Apply eye  shadow. Put white on your eyelids; it will make your eyes look bigger. Right above it, in the crease, apply a good amount of brown powder to add dimension. You can also put a little bit of white powder under the arch of your eyebrows, if desired.
6. Apply eyeliner. Use black eyeliner and draw thick lines. If you are performing in a very large theatre under harsh light, you may want to draw out “wings” or lines about half an inch from the top of your eyelid.
7. Apply mascara. Curl your eyelashes and apply a lot of mascara. Alternatively, you can wear false eyelashes.
8. Apply lipstick. Your lipstick color will probably be determined on your character and the color of your costume. Be sure to line your lips with lip liner before so that the lipstick doesn’t run.
9. Wash off stage makeup after performing. The combination of sweat and such thick makeup can easily clog your pores and create some nasty breakouts.
