If Love Was Everything – A poem insipired by a real life incident!

“May the world go upside down, my love for you shall never fade,” he said,

It was a feeling celestial,

Being loved this way felt so special.

Their life was waking up to “forever kisses”,

And sleeping to “forever promises”.

He held her hand and they kissed under the dying star,

Their love was eternal and would go real far.

It was all picture perfect till her father discovered it all,

Inspite of that they stood tall,

And faced it all.

One day when the three were in the train,

Convincing her dad was the main,

If only their efforts didn’t go in vain.

Her dad asked her to choose either of the two,

Ending her life was all she wanted to do.

She was bereft of any hope and jumped off,

Blinded by grief he did the same.

It takes few choices and chances to change the good, bad and inconsequential in life,

He changed it all for her,

His lady love, his soul mate and whom he considered his wife.

Theirs is a treasure,

An everlasting memory and a touchy story,

Cause its true love alone which gives the soul glory.
