Q. 2) Case Study – 15 marks

Ananya Puri is a very successful entrepreneur. She is the richest female in India, who owns a chain of hotels in India as well as in foreign countries. Ananya has completed her graduation in commerce and masters in Business management. She has command over event management and communication. After completing her masters she joined one of the  reputed Resort chains in Goa, where she worked for 3 years. In this duration, she got married to Mr. Ritesh, who is working in USA and promised her that he will settle down in Mumbai within 2 years.

Ananya was taking care of her job and married life. But after 2 years, Mr. Ritesh told her that she had to leave the job and join him in USA, where she is not supposed to work as he was earning a good money. Ananya refused to accept it and now the marriage is in problem.

Continuing with this, in the year 2001 she started her own hotel in Mahabaleshwar and with knowing the nerves of the travellers and their demands, she started giving various facilities to her customers and within the span of 10 years she is the owner of the business of Rs. 700 crores.

Nowadays large number of women around the world have setup and managed their own business.. They had to face a lot of difficulties and overcome a number of barriers to become successful in their ventures. They had to deal with discrimination and withstand the skepticism of society, and also put in more efforts than men to prove themselves.

a) What are the problems which are faced by Indian women entrepreneurs while starting their ventures?

b) As per Indian thoughts and management do you thin she is following her dharma and karma?

Section II

Q. 3) “To be successful, a professional manager should have a PACE of West and GRACE of East”. Explain with comparative study of value system. – 10 marks

Q. 4) Explain motivation to different types of persons and discuss ancient techniques of motivation with examples. – 10 marks

Q. 5) Explain different mechanisms of learning with proper examples. – 10 marks

Q. 6) Explain how selfless work can improve quality of work-life and productivity in the organization – 10 marks
