Electives chosen in Sem 6 – Retail Management

Did you take Coaching? If yes, which classes? JMD in Bandra

Extracurricular activities/Hobbies/Achievements– Reading, watching travel and adventure shows.

Fondly known as (name) in the college group – My group had christened me as ‘Alu’ in FYBMS now the entire batch calls me ‘Alu’.

Ambition in life – To build the most fulfilling and satisfying career in HR

Most memorable moment in BMS – There are many for instance I froze through a couple of my presentations, fought with a professor, jumped from the window into the passageway and was caught….

Funniest thing you did in the BMS course – I was supposed to give a short speech on dynastic politics in India and I was asked to be neutral on the subject. And I managed to turn it into an aggressive speech against the subject.

Define BMS in 1 line – two words – Constant challenges.

1) Which factors were considered in mind while selecting the Sem 6 Electives/Optional subjects?

I never liked finance and my 5th sem elective was marketing. So retail was my obvious choice.

2) Did you use BMS.co.in for your exam preparation? Which sections of BMS.co.in helped you?

Yes, it has helped to keep up with what’s happening in the rest of the BMS community. I also referred BMS.co.in for notes and text books.

3) How do you feel to be a consistent topper in both Sem 5 and Sem 6 exams?

Feels like it’s my due, not that I’m not grateful or anything. But I feel like I deserved it. I have never been fond of studying or anything to do with it. But then there’s no other option, where preparing for exams is concerned I start a 2-3 weeks before the exams and study at night. I’m a night owl. I tackle 1 subject at a time, don’t leave it till I’m finished with it.

And I don’t sit with my books continuously I go out, watch obscene amount of TV, read the newspaper from  one end to the other, help around in the house and study at night.

4) Behind one topper are many people who stood by him/her during those uncertain times when he/she was merely an ‘aspirant’. Would you like to tell the world, who were those people in your case? Any specific incidence that you would like to share with the readers?

My mother- inspiration, role model – she is everything. She never forced me to study nor did she tell me what to do, just unconditional support.

And my Prof. Mr. Deshpande, he was most encouraging and always had faith in me.

5) What is your message to the aspirants?

Get your priorities straight, do one thing at a time, be practical, be calm always.

And always work on your PR in college.

6) Marks of every subject
