  • Tell us something about yourself?

Well my first job was when I started to work in an international call centre in Gurgaon, worked for 6 months night shift and then changed to a domestic one in Tata Indicom for a year and a half. After that my experience in call centers that I really enjoyed which helped me making my communication skills and confidence stronger I shifted to an Advertising Agency “Street Life Advertising” where majorly I used to help in execution of promotional events, making sure promoters are hired and are doing their job properly.

This Agency also gave me exposure to events and client servicing as gradually I started to go for client meetings and generated business for the company.

My role model is my father Mr. BB Nagpal, he has been in journalism nearly 40 years and his dedication, Honesty towards his work makes him my role model to perform equally good so that I could achieve even half what he has in years is respect.

 

  • “Management is core to every individual, organization & society.” Give your views on it.

Not much that I have a take on this but that’s true my views are it’s an individual’s confidence and its capabilities, but learning comes with experience.

  • According to you, what are the challenges for Entrepreneurship today?

Major challenge is to sustain in the market for that one has to do something with their business or product which makes it unique and different from its competitors; also the other challenge is branding and marketing its product or business.

 

  • Can Entrepreneurship be taught in B-Schools/Management Institutes/Colleges?

I am a strong believer of learning practically, but yes it’s very important to first be clear theoretically and read and understand entrepreneurship and execute it practically. There is no age or time to stop learning no matter how much one would know about entrepreneurship you will always learn more while you start a business as every kind of business has its own benefits and difficulties that you overcome while you in it.

 

  • Is the Name of the Institute from where a student pursues his/her Graduation/Post Graduation or other courses important while setting up your business?

No, in jobs yes at times it is of importance for your own business no.

 

  • Do you think today’s economy is conducive for a new venture to start upon?

Yes it is, economy can never be controlled, it is the skills and the kind of venture which is on a start up.

 

  • “Earning more & more is the motive behind any business.” Is it justifiable?

As I said before in my philosophy that earning/money is good and important, it’s a driving factor, motivates you but more importantly is the reputation of a business and respect of an individual. I don’t believe having a client for one time business and earn money one should be able to deliver well that the client returns back to you.

 

  • Share with us the most enjoyable moment you had experienced on work.

The most enjoyable moment is when we have done PR for our most valued client Osian’s Film festival, it’s the only festival that gives a platform to all Asian Cinema and all Asian Countries to participate, it’s fun as it’s a 10 day long festival, 125+ films, Glamour, Celebs, 3 press conferences a day etc I have been doing this festival for 7 years and every year its more fun and a learning experience.
