How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?
In one word, “Supreme”.
Whom will you credit your success to?
Well I can’t brag about working hard ‘coz I frankly didn’t. My results are a pure blessing, so I would like to thank the Lord ‘coz he never lets me down.
Other than that, I credit my success to my Mother and Father, for their endless support, love and care. They have never pressurised me or made success feel like a compulsion.
And lastly I’d like to thank my friends for always being there to motivate me. 🙂
Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
Nah- Uh.
My mantra has always been “Don’t study hard, Study smart”.
I started FM well in advance but it was only 2 weeks prior to the examination that I started studying the theory.
How did you study for Sem V?
I love BMS, I find the concepts very easy to understand and grasp most of the time.
So all I did was read and understand by giving myself, fun relevant examples to match.
It’s easier to understand a concept when you link it to your favourite brand.
Example : CSR and The Body Shop.
Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
Rank wise from Easy to Less Easy
Service Sector Management
Marketing Management
Ethics
HRM
Logistics
FM
Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
I prefer writing my answers in bullets; it saves time and looks neat.
How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
I love case studies.
The case study must be read and understood first and then accordingly solved with the right use of concepts and creativity.
Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
Diagrams help when you have less time to write out the whole answer.
A flowchart or tree- diagram can help u summarize the answer in short.
Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
Absolutely not.
I study when I feel like and what I feel like.
How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Moods swings are the worst! For me, the only way around them is to use any negativity as motivation to do better.
“Too blessed to be stressed”
If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
I would try to give students an opportunity to express their individuality and make education more personalised and also more practical.
I mean, how can one know if a student has actually understood a certain topic or just mugged it up?
These written exams largely test your memory, your writing speed etc. A 15 mark case study is all that’s there to check if the student has understood the concept.
I think our system need a lot of improvement.
Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
Big college- Small College, IT DOESN’T MATTER. Your college doesn’t define who you are and what you are. YOU define YOURSELF.
Just work hard and never lose confidence.
Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
Trust in the Lord, He will never let you down. You give your best and God will do the rest.
