Electives chosen in Sem 6 – Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management
Did you take Coaching? If yes, which classes? No. I feel that self-study is sufficient if you pay attention during the lectures.
Extracurricular activities/Hobbies/ Achievements- I like participating in Management fests in various colleges. I enjoy reading novels and painting.
Ambition in life- Excellence at all that I do.
Most memorable moment in BMS- The Industrial Visit to Pune this year was a memorable day. BMS has been a treasure trove of fond memories that will last a lifetime.
Funniest thing you did in the BMS course – We participated in Tug-of-war during our college fest and on the day of the event, we saw that all other participants were professionals and our team looked like a bunch of kids among them. We still managed to clear round one. All of us had a good laugh that day.
Define BMS in 1 line – A course that prepares you for the challenges of the corporate world while giving you enough time to pursue other extracurricular interests too.
1) Which factors were considered in mind while selecting the Sem 6 Electives/Optional subjects?
My interest in the field of Investment and Finance were the key determinants of that decision.
Yes. I would regularly browse through the Bms.co.in website for information on topics regarding results, exam, paper patterns, projects, etc.
3) How do you feel to be a consistent topper in both Sem 5 and Sem 6 exams?
It feels great to score so well in both the semesters. The secret mantra is to not be overconfident and work hard even when I feel I have done enough. To motivate myself, I visualize a marksheet with excellent marks and then remind myself that I need to continue my efforts to attain that goal. Self-motivation is the best form of motivation.
4) Behind one topper are many people who stood by him/her during those uncertain times when he/she was merely an ‘aspirant’. Would you like to tell the world, who were those people in your case? Any specific incidence that you would like to share with the readers?
My parents and teachers have been a constant source of support and motivation. But I would like to make a special mention of my close friends who were dedicated and sincere in their efforts throughout the semester. Their perseverance gave me that boost when I felt like not studying at all.
5) What is your message to the aspirants?Â
Believing in yourself is most important. If you don’t believe in your abilities, no one will.
6) What was your study plan?Â
I do not follow a specific plan. I study whenever I can, more when there are upcoming tests. More importantly, I allot equal time to all subject and not just concentrate on those subjects which I find tough.
Subjects Name – Source of your preparation
I refer the textbooks and Reference books that our professors tell u about. Studying those thoroughly is better than referring too many books.
