1) Tell us about yourself?  Â
I am Diksha Mungekar, from B. L. Amlani College. I come from a science background. But I scored less marks in cet. Then I took admission for bms as I was interested in management studies. Frankly speaking i was just knowing the subjects by the name but after that I found this course very interesting. And every semester there is a new subject.
2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?                   Â
I feel good as I have seen others who study with tremendous pressure on themselves to top the examination. I have never topped in previous semesters. This is the first time and a very awesome feeling for me.
3) Whom will you credit your success to?         Â
I would like to give my success credit firstly to myself as hard work is also required to be successful. Also I would like to give my success credit to my family. And also to Principal of my college Dr. Ms. Minu Madlani ma’am and to my teachers Ms. Khushboo Ma’am, Prof. Jitendra Aherkar sir who helped me by being there whenever I needed.
4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?                           Â
Frankly speaking, no I have not started studying from first day of my TY Sem V I’ve always been a last minute studying person but these time I have started studying before 10 days of my exam. This is only for theory subjects. I was practicing practical subjects regularly Fm and ssf.
5) How did you study for Sem V?
I’ve been regularly practicing fm and ssf sums. I did the study unit wise and as per the paper patterns given on BMS.co.in. And also I made sure I knew the important parts well.
6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
As for me practical subjects Fm and ssf and in theory logistics and supply chain management.
7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
First write definition, then more about it or the explanation, diagram if required, underline the main points with a pencil, write examples and at the end the conclusion. And I always write my answers in bullet form. It is the best way to write the answers.
8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
Firstly I read the entire case study and underline the main points. In practical subject case studies are merely sums that are longer and bit more difficult to solve. For theory subjects, understanding each and every subject is very important. Always refer to solved case studies and start solving in your own. Properly written case study can help in scoring good marks.
9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?                 Â
Yes I always draw diagrams.
Nothing is mandatory. It all depends on how well you present your papers and how you write your answers in a relevant form.
10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
I never do one subject continuously I always do 1 practical and 1 theory subject every day. Regular practice of practical subjects is very important.
11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Short breaks in between study times.
12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
I will first make subjects more practical and updated.
13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
Firstly, I am from a marathi medium school and I have faced many problems. But I have always worked on my basics and my goal was clear. And background of the person doesn’t matter.  Big names are not important, it is not important you are from which medium. The difference is you which make you stand out. Have confidence on your self and work hard and success will come to you.
 14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?      Â
I think life is full of ups and downs without this success is not possible. Always have belief in your own self.
15) Your feedback/suggestions for BMS.co.in?
