Tell us about yourself, your background, why did you join BMS and what do you plan to do after BMS?
I come from an HSC Background, after doing my junior college from H.R College Of Commerce and Economics. I joined BMS as its one of the finest courses in Commerce at this point in time and I plan on doing a business of my own ahead in life. BMS was thus the best course for me. I plan to a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) after BMS.
How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?
It feels really great to be one of the toppers of Jai Hind College

Umm, Mainly the friend whom I used to study with and undoubtedly, the teachers for their excellent teaching.

Nope
How did you study for Sem I / Sem III? (Share some tips / advice for each subject)
I studied for Sem I just by going through what the professors had made us write and read the text book once thoroughly after it. That was all about it.
Which are the easy subjects in Sem I / Sem III?
Accounts, Statistics and Foundation Of Human Skills.

Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
It depends on the subject and the question too. Many questions are better if answered in bullets and many if answered in paragraphs.

How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
It was just about understanding the case study. Once that was done, the rest is a cakewalk.
Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
Yes. At times, it is. It elaborates on what you are trying to say and gives the teacher an idea that you know the matter. It adds a lot to the text you write.
Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Take a break for some time, eat what you like.
If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
I would definitely try to change the 75-25 system back to the 60-40 system.

Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
It’s not your college or your language that matters. It’s your knowledge. You might speak any language, but as long as you speak sense, no one will dare to stop you. Your college will be with you for 3 years, your learning will be with you forever.
