Name – Monica Haresh Ahuja

College Name –  VES College of Law,Chembur.

Course Name – BMS

Rank in TY Sem V :1st

GPA / Percentage:78%

1) Tell us about yourself?

I come from a middle class joint family staying in Thane . I joined BMS because the subjects were of my interest and as an aspiring manager , this course suited perfectly. I plan to pursue a post graduation in HRM.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

Ranking  1st gives me a mental satisfaction and motivates me to work harder.

I feel now that I have topped, I want to raise the bar more and take it as high as possible.

3) Whom will you credit your success to?

First of all, I would like to give credits to the teachers of VES college, because their teaching pattern makes the subject easier. I was blessed to have the best of faculty. Then the credits go to my Parents for supporting me in whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?

Ofcourse yes. As they say, oceans fill drop by drop the same way preparations have to be started in d beginning, for the result to be good in the end. I am not saying we should start learning from the first day, but reading even one page a day would contribute to success.

5) How did you study for Sem V?

Studying got easy when subjects were divided according to the days.

2 subjects should be studied per day and one sum of Financial management (FM) should be done daily .

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?

According to me, Human resource management (HRM) and Business ethics (BE) are the easiest subjects in Sem V.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

I always prefer writing the answers in bullet points. Bullet points make it easier for the paper checker to check the papers, and I believe the more easy you make your paper to check ,the more marks you get. Presentation aspect matters a lot in the paper.

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

Reading the case study thoroughly once is the best way to crack them. Once u read it properly and understand it , it becomes easy to write the answers. Practical subjects are best done through only and only practice. The more u practice, the easier the sums get.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Diagrams do help in getting more marks. Everybody writes almost the same answers in the papers, so what makes your paper unique from others is the diagrams u draw in it.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

No specific patterns as such. But whatever has been taught in college should be revised at home the same day which makes it the easiest.

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

The goal should be clear. Once you are focused, no mood swings can divert your minds from achieving those goals. If you get too tired and bored of studying, you can go out for walk and meet your friends but come back early and not allow your mind to divert more.

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

I would like to incline the system towards gaining more knowledge rather than being only exam and marks oriented.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

I would like to tell them, No matter what college you are from , if you are working hard , you will automatically gain the confidence back which will take you to the path of success.

  14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

I have now understood that Education is ‘THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT ‘ in any individual’s life.

It enables us to be independent and achieve success in life.

15) Your feedback for BMS.co.in?

I like the initiative of BMS.co.in as it is encouraging students and motivating them and showing them a right direction towards the path of success.
