- Whom do you admire as your role model? And why?
Arnold Schwarzeneggar . Of the various intelligences we have (to know more read Frames of Mind by Howard Gardner) viz numerical intelligence, verbal intelligence, social intelligence, the most important is personal intelligence according to Tony Buzan and I whole heartedly concur. Arnold probably has the highest personal intelligence in the history of mankind.
- “Management is core to every individual, organization & society.” Give your views on it.
Absolutely! And for that you have to manage the manger of knowledge – the brain! To express a quick one liner on this – If you don’t THINK about MANAGING your future, you won’t have one!
- Name 3 qualities of prime importance that an entrepreneur should possess.
1) The MOST important: Self Belief
2) Clear Values
3) Passion
- According to you, what are the challenges for Entrepreneurship today?
We live in a time where any kid in blue jeans can become a billionaire – think Steve Jobs!
Challenges in the external world are very easy to handle – competition, marketing, managing people etc. The difficult challenges most people face, in my view, are internal challenges. The greatest challenge people face is that they are unclear about their values. They are unclear about what is most important to them in their lives. That is the root of most problems.
- Do you think today’s economy is conducive for a new venture to start upon?
Yes! Today it is easier than ever to become an entrepreneur. A long time ago people needed connections, money, family backing et al to succeed. Today all your need is mental processes like creativity and focus which can be learned
- Your message to the BMS students?
One of the greatest reasons for failure in business or career is FEAR which according to Jack Canfield is Fantasized Experiences Appearing Real! Train your mind and you can overcome it!
- Your feedback for BMS.co.in?
Great work! Keep educating and inspiring people.
