Q.2) 5 Fantastic Facts About Your BMS Life:

1) Positive / Negative things about your college?

– I have been a part of this college for just a year and already I have developed a deep sense of pride for being in this institute. The environment is very lively and we are encouraged to develop ourselves not only academically but also otherwise.

2) Positive / Negative things about your BMS course?

– The BMS department at my college  with it’s highly qualified faculty and interactive lessons ensures academic excellence. Along with the academic studies, many activities, events and competitions arranged through out the year make way for all round development. Also the learning environment is such that it helps build self-confidence and leads to an improved and enhanced personality. Moreover, the faculty is extremely helpful and is ever ready to help us in any way they can.

3) How has BMS course helped you to develop your personality? / What did you learn from BMS?

-BMS has been instrumental for my personality development. Personally I have gained a lot of confidence and overcome the huge stage fright that I used to have. The course has led me to identify my potential and enhance and utilize the skills that I possess to the maximum.

4) What are the changes you want to bring in the BMS course?

-The only thing that I would suggest is that internship right from the first year should be made mandatory in the course. This would give students the practical experience and a basic idea about how things work in the business world right from the beginning of the course.

5) Share your favorite BMS / college memories?

– I had volunteered for marketing for a small period of time for our inter-collegiate event Inspira. On the very first day we had been divided into groups and had to approach the shops/brands that were allotted to us and basically try and attract sponsors for our event. I remember that we had approached the manager of a local outlet of one particular brand. We talked with him and informed him about our event and spoke about possible sponsorship. The reply of the manager was and I quote” we usually don’t engage in such sponsorships but since we are talking about MCC, I will talk to my seniors.” It was an extremely proud moment for us and I think was the first memorable moment of my time in this college.

-Secondly, as I have mentioned earlier, I had participated in the event “SOCH” for the new-startups competition. We had to decide a product, plan the whole business strategy and actually sell our product in the campus. Initially I was very undecided and was worried as to how everything would turn out. We were a team of three and after giving it some thought we finally decided to take it up as a challenge and worked hard for it. And finally when we won, it was a moment of great satisfaction as our efforts had paid off.

Q.3) What are the thoughts / advices / tips you would like to give to today’s youngsters?

–  Being a part of this very generation, I know how easy it is to be influenced by your parents, teachers, friends or any acquaintances. But I think what each of us should keep in mind is that we must be clear on what we want and what gives us happiness and satisfaction and be firm on our dreams.
