- Tell us something about your venture?
Presently I am working part time at Access Water and Energy , Melbourne, but I always wanted to do something of my own, My passion of Jewellery making gave me this opportunity. Now I am setting up my own business of Handcrafted Jewellery. The uniqueness of my Jewelleries are they are made out of paper. Being handcrafted, they are all unique pieces of Art ! - What is your philosophy towards work?
Well, my philosophy is whatever you are doing, you should try to give your 100 % into it ..
- Whom do you admire as your role model? And why?
Well, to be honest, I don’t have any role model in that sense, each one is different , everyone have different situation. So I believe we can not follow someone’s path blindly .I try to learn from everyone, and implement the learning’s according to my situation. But if you ask about inspirations, I should say , my Mom is my inspiration..From her only I learned how to act best at your worst situation..
- “Management is core to every individual, organization & society.” Give your views on it.
Well..I would agree to it, to simplify that saying ‘we need to learn to manage our time, efforts and energy to get optimum benefit of our situation.’
- Name 3 qualities of prime importance that a women entrepreneur should possess.
Rather than mentioning any specific quality for women I would like to mention one thing, as women, before starting any work or business, first thing that comes to our mind is our constraints. ‘How can I manage with kids???’ ‘How can I go out’ ‘it is very hard’ ‘ I can’t do that’ We need to get rid of those thoughts. I believe if you can get rid of these negative thoughts, you can really make your identity! Sometimes, I know, as mother we can’t go out to work , when we have small children or some other reason. But we can utilize that time in different way! We can think about what we can do at home if we can’t go out? I always remember what Dale Carnegie said, if you got a lemon try to make lemonade out of it’.
- Can Entrepreneurship be taught in B-Schools/Management Institutes/Colleges?
It is something that should come from your heart, something you want to do for yourself, your family your identity.. It is not a must according to me, but yes , a structural education will always be helpful.
- Do you think today’s economy is conducive for a new venture to start upon?
Depends upon your venture of course!
- “Earning more & more is the motive behind any business.” Is it justifiable?
Not for me atleast! Sometimes, we need to do something which also gives you a pleasure to be associated with, that will help you to indulge your passion..Money is a big factor for business that’s for sure, but not everything!
