I have completed my higher secondary education in science stream from DAV Public school with 80%. By the time my 12th standard ended I realized that I should change my stream and take BMS course since it offers the future I want for myself.
Q.2 How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?Â
It feels really nice to see my elders, parents, teachers and friends appreciating me. It’s a nice feeling to see what you are capable of doing.
Â
Q.3 Whom will you credit your success to?
I would like to mention that without my parents’ and my teacher’s support my hard work wouldn’t have reached its destination.
It would be injustice if I don’t thank my friends who have helped me understand the subjects related to commerce.
Â
Q.4 Did you start preparing from the first day of your FY / SYBMS?Â
NO, I just attended all the lectures and was also mentally present in most of them!!
Q.5 How did you study for Sem III?Â
·      I used to ensure that all my concepts are clear and base strong.
·      I would start with writing the answer on my white board because writing helps you to know how prepared you are.
·      I also used to give importance to key words because they matter a lot.
Q.6 Which are the easy subjects in Sem III?
The level of difficulty varies from student to student. Whatever one is interested at, will feel that subject easy.

I write my answers in bullet points with sub headings so that it looks presentable and catchy.

For case study I always imagine myself in the given situation and explain my answer keeping in mind what I would have done in this situation.

Yes, drawing diagrams help you explain the answer in a better way and also helps the teacher to know whether you have really understood the concept.
Q.10 Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
According to me the quality of study matters more than the hours you study. I used to start with tough subjects first and gradually go for easy ones.
Q.11 How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
I used to indulge in my hobbies for some hours or listen to music for a while or just go out and have fresh air.
Â
Q.12 If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in BMS education system?
In BMS I have noticed that we study everything but in tit-bits. I believe that half knowledge is dangerous and so I would like to reduce some chapters but give insight on remaining chapters.
Q.13 Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
The language is just a medium of communication, if you have the capability you can do wonders even without the name of a reputed college
Q.14 Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? What is your message to the upcoming BMS students?
Competition is everywhere.
I have learnt many things about myself and obviously lots about managing others!!
At the end of TY you should emerge as a person you want to be. BMS is a course where you will get to know about yourself and others as well. Life doesn’t end here. All the best!
