Tell us something about yourself
I am M.Com. , B. Ed. , SET qualified lecturer teaching management subjects. I would explain myself as a much disciplined, honest teacher who gets involved in her students.
Tell us something about your college
Our college is a small college recently established so in a growing stage. It is an institution which cares about its students and is trying to give the best to them.
Â
When did you join this profession? What inspired you to choose this line?
I entered this profession in 2007. Love for children inspired me to take this profession.
Â
As a Coordinator, do you also teach any subjects? If yes, which subjects you teach and
which you love the most?
Yes, I teach marketing, HRM as well as some banking & insurance related subjects. I love to teach marketing.
Â
Â
How are the roles and responsibilities of a Coordinator different from that of a
faculty? Do you like being a Faculty or a Coordinator? Which helps you to connect more with students?
A co-ordinator has to implement all amendments made by the University. He/She has to act as a link between other teachers & students. He/She has to look after Ty students the most. Solving disciplinary matters or solving problems of teachers are some of the functions of a co-ordinator. I think I would like to be as a faculty because as a co-ordinator many times I remain engaged in carrying out administrative responsibilities & do not get time to devote myself towards teaching. It is true that co-ordinatorship connects me with more students.
Who in your life has influenced the most?
Some of my teachers & my father.
Â
What should BMS/Management education mean to a student?
BMS improves confidence level of a student. Gives him knowledge about different concepts from management.
Tell us something about your college fests/events and extra-curicular activities?
We have got different associations like Social Science association, Marathi Vangmay Mandal. ‘Fiver Pitch’ is our annual intercollegiate fest & we have intra collegiate competitions also.
Â
Do you believe that it should be made compulsory for students to manage both
studies and be a part of college fests/events?
We cannot make it compulsory as it is the matter of interest.
Â
Tell us something about your college students’ performances?
Year by year the performance is improving. We are getting good students as the years are passing by. They are getting prizes in different intercollegiate fests arranged by other colleges.
What are your future plans for the college?
Getting best visiting faculties, arranging guidance lectures for them, training them in such a way so that they can face any type of critical situation in their practical life.
As a person, what is your mission/aim in life?
To make use of my skills and qualities for goodness of the society.
Â
Does your college provide any placement assistance to BMS students?
Yes.
Â
What are the prospects after BMS?
In further education -MBA, Diploma courses in management, MMS etc.
In industry – Management trainees, marketing, retailing starting your own business etc.
Â
What message would you like to give to BMS students?
Do not be only bookish. Get practical experiences to check your knowledge. Read newspaper daily.
