1) Tell us about yourself?

I have completed my 12th from Science and then I got enrolled in Pendharkar College in Computer Science but then I realized this is not where I am interested. As I was interested in becoming an MBA, i changed my field and got enrolled in G.R. Patil College for BMS.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

It makes me feel happy and proud and more confident. The efforts that I had taken were not useless. But my goal was not to be a ranker or score top marks. My intention was to acquire knowledge as much as possible and which will be useful for me in future.

3) Whom will you credit your success to? 

My parents, teachers, friends, my guru and God.

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
No not at all. Studying for long hours is not my style. I enjoyed the starting period of my college. I usually study before 15 days or a month before exam. But I practice practical subject from beginning itself.

5) How did you study for Sem V?
My strategy for all subject is common. I collect last five years question papers then I find imp questions from it I find the ones which are repeated mostly then 1st I prepare with those questions and then I read other topics which I feel are important.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
If you study then all subjects are easy. I personally feel that practical subjects are more easy and interesting.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

First of all I explain the concept about what the question is and then definition and then the main answers with points. I write the headings by numbering or in billeted form and then I explain those points in detail.

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

Case study is my favorite part which gives me a chance to apply the knowledge that I have gathered by studying those subjects. I read the questions first and then the case study and then explain the answers.
9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Yes it is possible to draw a diagram I go for it because it helps in presenting the answers in more effective way.
10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

I calculate the days remaining before exams and then divide them with the number of subjects and then assign that number of days for a single subject.
11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

Whenever I face such situations, I take a break of 1 or 2 days and do all the possible thing that makes me happy or those things that release all my pressure for exams. e.g. bike riding, chilling with friends and all.

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

As I changed my college from G.R. Patil to SIA College in TYBMS, there occurred a kind of problem regarding my form generation. So for that I had to visit Kalina university and what a rubbish system it was. No one was ready to listen to my problem. I would first ensure that no student would have to face such kind of problems. Remove all non-working and corrupt staff. And regarding the education, I would like to conduct more practical programs for students. I believe in practical knowledge more than theoretical. Ofcourse theory is also important but practical is more important and will be beneficial for student’s future.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

Don’t bother about all these useless stuff. Even I am not from English medium. I believe that a person should not care about success or failure. He should do whatever he does with passion. Then even if he fail he will gain with experience and can rise up again and if he succeeds then he will win the battle. But he will never ever lose.
  14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? 

Everything lies in your own satisfaction. Never compare yourself with others. Always compare with yourself and your own performance. And the most important thing is Enjoy life alongwith study. These are the most beautiful days of your life. We won’t ever get them back, so don’t miss to enjoy. But alongwith enjoying you should also study. Because this is all about your future. There is whole life ahead to do other things but you won’t get another chance for building your career again.
