GPA / Percentage:6.86

1) Tell us about yourself?
I was pretty much interested in doing an MBA and BMS became the perfect stream to attain that dream. Moreover BMS provides me an overall idea of the different fields which helps me decide my field of specialisation after proper analysis

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

I feel blessed that I am able to represent everyone’s efforts on basis of my score. It makes people proud and that gives me happiness

3) Whom will you credit your success to?

Teachers, parents and my friends who have constantly provided support in times of need

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?

No I didn’t prepare from first day. I was already preparing for MBA entrance exams at that time. But I would pay attention during lectures so I was never out of contact with the syllabus.

5) How did you study for Sem V?
It is important to pay attention to subjects like financial management especially if finance is a weak area. In case of theories connecting case studies to answers in the syllabus gets you marks. Giving good examples wherever possible also helps as an added advantage.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
I had a dire interest in human resource management. So I found that and marketing easy. At the end when you are prepared you will find the subject easy.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

I write answers in bullet points as it gives a neat look. Keep the answers precise. Do not beat around the bush. Give a definition,  a two line introduction and jump to the main answer.

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
Rather than writing about your opinion, one should also know to connect the opinion with what is taught in the subject. Connecting few answers with the question gives you decent content and definitely a better flow in answers. In practical subjects knowing the concept is important to solve case studies.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

It is not mandatory but I would suggest it in those answers that require them. A good diagram many a times explains an answer and gives the examiner a clue that you have some knowledge at least about the topic.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

I am not a timetable person. I study as per my convenience. It’s not how long you study. It’s more about how well you study in that time. It differs from person to person so one should know how much time to allot for the same.

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

I just keep on telling myself a little hard work now and a better future tomorrow. When I don’t feel like studying I talk to my friends or parents. Go for a walk or watch t.v. After the break I resume all fresh

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

I would like to implement a practical approach than a theoretical one. Theory doesn’t stay in the mind on long term basis. Whereas connecting the concepts to daily application will be for a lifetime.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

It is disheartening sometimes that people judge potential by college name. I believe it’s about your efforts and belief to excel. I have seen people from small colleges excelling in life more than those from great institutes. When you have confidence and belief opportunities will definitely come irrespective of where you are.

  14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

Do not compete to show someone small. Compete to make yourself better. It’s good to fail at times. That’s how you learn. Do not think about tomorrow. Think about today and give your best. Never lose hope.

Do not stick only to studies. Undertake extracurricular as well. This will help in overall development. Keep updated information on the current happenings in the country. In the long run having bookish knowledge doesn’t help. Invest these three years to transform yourself and understand what you want to do in life.

15) Your feedback for BMS.co.in?

BMS.co.in has been helpful in bringing all queries on a single platform and solving the same. I appreciate the initiative taken as it brought in relief to so many students.
