Have you thought about what difference does all that ‘big talk’ make to us right here?
And, do you want to participate in a global simulation that lets you participate in the process?
Here’s your chance!
Mumbai+20 is a simulation of the United Nations Earth Summit to be held in Rio in June 2012. What actual leaders will discuss and deliberate at Rio, you will do here in Mumbai 🙂 You will represent a country or delegation at the simulation.
And all around the world, the MyCity+20 movement has thousands of young people doing the same – our discussions will roll up to higher levels too! The message is simple – youth are ready to play an active role in negotiations and shape our future
So how do you apply?
Through BRM’s Social Leaders Program – it starts with a 3 hour workshop on leadership that will also orient you to the event. This will be followed by your project – the Rio+20 as well as an action component. Post the summit, we will have share stories and reflect on our learning.
The final deadline for applications is 25th March,2012 (11:59 pm). You need to be under 25 to apply. Click here to apply.
There are a limited number of participants we can accomodate – so, apply at the earliest!
Also help us spread the word – if you know any ecologically inclined friend, the general secretary of your college or your neighborhood aunty who teaches at a college – take this message to them, and ask them to forward it too.
