Kings XI Punjab 193 for 3 (Maxwell 89, Miller 51*, Pujara 40*) beat Rajasthan Royals 191 for 5 (Samson 52, Watson 50) by 7 wickets.
Maxwell had put great efforts to display an incredible power-hitting show. He played a gem of knock, turning the match on its head with sensational hitting. Maxwell’s knock came off just 45 balls with eight fours and six sixes. He did not spare a single Rajasthan bowler and was batting in full flow. In 10 overs, Punjab were 69 for 2 but in the next 3 overs, Punjab scored 51 runs with Maxwell scoring 46 of them. Maxwell hit 9 boundaries, including 2 sixes in 3 overs. In the 3rd wicket partnership of 116 runs with Pujara, Maxwell contributed 89 runs. Maxwell took the fight to the rival camp with his fearless batting and quickly completed his fifty while opener Pujara was holding the one end carefully. Playing reverse sweep with amazing success in his innings, Maxwell hit Rajat Bhatia for two consecutive boundaries to raise his fifty in 28 balls.
