The Civil Services Aptitude Test was introduced by UPSC two years back. The core contents of this exam include CSAT has 2 papers – paper I (General Studies and current affairs) and paper II (General Aptitude) General aptitude focuses on – Interpersonal skills including communication skills, – Logical reasoning and analytical ability, – Decision making and problem solving, – General mental ability, – Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level) and – English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).
The CMAT a management admissions test includes the following : Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical reasoning, Language comprehension and General Awareness
So as you see both seem to overlap and you can study for both simultaneously.
