Who gets the risks? The risk are given to the consumer, the unsuspecting consumer and the poor workforce. And who gets the benefits? The benefits are only for the corporations, for the money makers.
You must be wondering why i told these statements..There is no doubt that today’s consumers are at a far better position than that of past as consumers are given a lot of safety, security and comfort towards product as the products are made as per their convenience, needs and desires. So consumers are king of the market. Even if the companies cheat the consumers, today’s consumers have given the rights like consumer courts, consumer forums and they can raise their demands. Even today’s consumer is really very confident and assured about their rights and demands so there are legal protection for consumer.
OHH sory i forgot to say you why i told the statement….The companies which exist today are really very diplomatic and tactful. Consumer is the king of market is just to say. The real or true thing is the companies are really very good at influencing consumer. The products which are existing in the market or the product which they manufacture are not really required by the customer but the companies sell those products by attractive advertisements and they influence the customers which make the consumer confusing.
Take an example– There is a special product called baby toilet soap sold at a hefty price commensurate with a mother’s love for her child. The relevant Indian standard limits the nickel content in baby soap to zero because of the potential of nickel compounds to cause dermatitis. No soap manufacture tests his product for nickel content- likely contaminant through hydrogenated oils. From these real example it can be known the “RIGHT TO BE INFORMED” has been violated.
Truly the the king of the market is marketer as they sell the products and even after knowing to the consumer that the marketer is cheating they ignore the fact that they are being cheated and some are indifferent to go to consumer courts and consumer forums as in India there are political , social and many problems which can make a problem to the consumer if the consumer complaints against the company.
“Many people want the government to protect the consumer. A much more urgent problem is to protect the consumer from the government.”
“Consumer are the Kings” is true only to a certain extent. After all the hype about consumer awareness and empowerment, we the consumer still suffer.
reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy… nice points……………
