[email protected] – The Manager In Making!

So it happens that I am a BMS graduate (a very very recent BMS graduate) and I have secured the position of ‘Content Manager’ at the No.1 BMS portal in Mumbai. Yes that’s me alright starry eyed, new to work life and already super stressed; my course promised to make me a management graduate and when I cleared my final year as a topper in both the University exams I had this big ego boost; how difficult can being at a managerial position be for someone who has topped college?

But life doesn’t work that way and here I am working and learning, every new minute I spend in this office. I learn when college students take time to respond to me, when college coordinators feel there is a kid on the other end and do not take me seriously, I learn when I break my head over organizing contests, when my interns don’t perform well.. oh ya, did I tell you I have a team of amazing content writing and digital marketing interns working with my team; they are amazing in all aspects, in giving excuses too 😛  

I also learn when my senior Parvathy Ma’am guides me and I learn the most when I interact with our team’s mentors Kartik Sir and Pratik Sir. So yes I am learning and this is my space where I share all of it with you, life for me as in the Manager in Making is a big roller coaster ride and right now after a lot of down’s we are finally seeing a big upswing.

The internship we floated attracted a huge bunch of awful people apart from the good one’s and gave me a lot of lessons and reasons to struggle in achieving my targets. Well anyways the bad one’s out of the basket my content team of 10 includes Harshvardhan, Vatsal, Jainam, Tanvi, Misbaah, Hinal, Manal, Kashmira, Pratiksha and Nikhil while the media team has Kaval, Mangaljeet, Dhrumil, Vikas, Sehrish and Filza. We have a new Intern Bhumi joining in to gain on the job experience of working with the BMS team.

Through this blog series I do aim to give you insight into working with BMS.co.in, share in my experiences and struggles (expecting opinions and help ofcourse!) and celebrate victories!
