They are loud, they are famous, some even infamous for their barmy performances. Their earsplitting music makes us go crazy and bounce and bang our heads like maniacs. These are the most wanted rappers who express their feelings, emotions, in short, their life with these harsh words. They are often taken as arrogant and ruthless because of the words they use, but despite of the controversies they are usually engaged in, we all are crazy about their work. So here is a list of my fav rappers who bring out the rock star in me!!
Eminem-
Marshall Bruce Mathers III best known by his stage name Eminem is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor. In addition to his solo career, Eminem is a member of the group D12, as well as one half of the hip hop duo Bad meets Evil, alongside Royce da 5’9”. Eminem is the best-selling artist of the 2000s in the United States. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 82nd on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He is also known as the Rap God.
Lil Wayne-
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. Known by his stage name Lil Wayne is an American rapper from New Orleans. In 1991, at the age of nine, Lil Wayne joined Cash money Records as the youngest member of the label, and half of the duo The B.G.’z, alongside fellow New Orleans-based rapper Lil’ Doogie In 1996, Lil Wayne formed the Southern Hip Hop group Hot Boys, with his Cash Money label-mates. Hot Boys debuted with Get it how you live! Lil Wayne gained most of his success with the group’s major selling album Guerrilla Warfare (1999).
Snoop Dog-
Cordozar Broadus, Jr. known by his stage names Snoop Doggy Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and later Snoop Lion, is an American rapper, singer and song writer and actor. Snoop Dogg has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. His music career began in 1992 when he was discovered by Dr. Dre. He collaborated on Dre’s solo debut The Chronic (1992), and on the theme song to the feature film Deep Cover. Despite of the controversies that Snoop Dogg is engaged in, he still is one of the most celebrated rappers.
Wiz Khalifa-
Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known by the stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper and singer- song writer. Wiz Khalifa released his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006, and signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007. His Euro dance-influenced single “Say Yeah”, received urban radio airplay, charting on the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Tracks charts in 2008. Wiz Khalifa is also well known for his debut single for Atlantic, “Black and Yellow”, which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ludacris-
Christopher Brian Bridges, better known by his stage name Ludacris, is an American rapper, entrepreneur and actor. Ludacris has won a Screen Actor Guild, Critics Choice, MTV and three Grammy Awards during his career. Along with fellow rappers Big Boi and Andre 3000 of Outkast, Ludacris was one of the first and most influential Dirty South artists to achieve mainstream success during the early 2000s. As an actor, he has appeared in films including Crash, Gamer, New Year’s Eve, The Fast and the Furious film series 2 Fat 2 Furious, Fast Five, Fast and the Furious 6 and Furious 7.
Nicki Minaj-
Onika Tanya Maraj, better known by her stage name Nicki Minaj is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Jamaica, New York, Minaj received public notice after releasing three mixtapes between 2007–2009. She signed a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009.Minaj’s debut studio album, Pink Friday (2010), peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and spawned the top-three single “Super Bass”. During that time, Minaj became the first female solo artist to have seven singles simultaneously charting on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
So here is the list of these fab artists but the list most definitely does not end here. There is Dr. Dre, Jay- Z, Kanye West, Drake, 50 Cent, Rakim, Busta Rhymes, Big Pun, Macklemore etc. sorry for missing any who have left a mark in this field of creation.
