Strait of Malacca is an important shipping lane in the world. It is the main shipping channel between Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean connecting major Asian economies such as India, China, Japan and South Korea.
Malaysia Airlines Flight Mystery unfolds as Malaysia’s military stated that the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner by radar over the Strait of Malacca where it was made last contact with civilian air traffic control off the country’s east coast.
The airline changed course after Kota Bharu and took a lower altitude and made it into the Malacca Strait. Although the reports are being checked and verified by the Department of Civil Aviation, Malaysia has extended the massive search operation for the plane to the Malacca Strait after initially focusing on the South China sea.
