INTRA-COLLEGIATE EVENT DESCRIPTION

a) CREATIVE MELA:

Here the participants get the opportunity to showcase their artistic brilliance. It can be anything that the participant is good at; e.g. Mehendi, Rangoli, Nail Art, T-shirtpainting etc.

a) Entry fees: Rs. 50 per team

c) Timing: 3:30pm to 5:30 pm

b) TELEVISION REPORTER:

In this event you will get a chance to report on a particular situation. Just like as a T.V. Reporter does.

c) TREASURE HUNT:

Tease your brain to find the treasure.

• Use of cell phones and other means of travelling and communication is not allowed.
• 3 members in a group
• Entry on 1st come 1st serve basis for the first 30 groups

d) INVESTOMANIA:

In this event, the participant’s need to invest in dummy companies. Based on this they will get their returns and the game goes on.

I. REFUTE – A FINANCIAL DEBATE:

c) Final round – 19TH JANUARY 2011.

• Timing: 10:00AM – 12:00 NOON (Preliminary Round)
• Entry fees: Rs. 50 per team

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• The Topic for the First two Rounds will be given on the Spot(30 Minutes for preparation) and for the finals, the Top will be given one day prior.
• In first round, one participant will speak for the topic while other will speak against the topic.

II. BRAINPOWER:

A quiz competition where you have to prove your supremacy over other teams.

• Round 1- MCQs.

III. TRADING GURU
A mock trading event where participants get an opportunity to prove their trading skills.

a) Entry fees: Rs. 200 per team
b) Date: 18th January 2011
c) Timing: 8:45AM TO 3:30 PM
d) Trading in over 600 stocks

RULES AND REGULATION:

• Two participants per team
• Trading will be done on real time basis
• Use of calculator is allowed
• Positions automatically squares off at 3.30pm

IV. MONEYWISE:

In this event participants are required to prepare financial model for given situation.

a) Entry fees: Rs. 50 per team
b) Date: 19TH January, 2011
c) Timing: 10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM.

• Elimination round will be held before the event
• Two participants per team
• Entire data will be provided
• Participants need to convey their matter in presentation form
• Use of presentation tools is permitted

V. B- ENVIRONMENT:

In this event, the entrepreneurship skills of the participants will be judged

• Participant needs to prepare a complete business strategy and present it

VI. COLUMNIST

In Columnist, the participants will be given facts about a certain event, he is required to write an article. Just like a Journalist.

VII. INTERVIEW CHALLENGE:

A mock interview session where in you can hone your skills to overcome the adversities faced in a real-time co-orporate interview.

An extempore speech competition wherein the topic to the participants will be given on the spot and a time span of 3 minutes will be allowed order to justify the topic
