Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) has issued notification of two year Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Clinical Research Course for 2014 session. Degree Certificate will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) deemed university.
Course will likely be held at Tata Memorial Centre followed by one-year internship at the Tata Memorial Centre. Course will begin in the month of August.
Eligibility criteria
Age limit
Candidates should not exceed 30 years as on 1st July 2014.
Age relaxation will be applicable as mentioned below:
SC/ST candidates- Five years
OBC candidates- Three years
Educational qualification
Candidates should possess graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in any of the below mentioned subjects:
B.Sc in Bioscience/Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, B.Sc in Clinical Nutrition, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science (B.Pharm), Graduation in Dentistry (BDS), Graduate in Medicine (Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha), Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy Nursing (B.Sc) .Importance will be given to candidates with training experience in clinical research.
Selection Process
Selection will be done based on performance of candidates in written test and interview.
Weightage ratio
Written and oral examination-85:15
25% of seats will be set aside for domestic applicants from Tata Memorial Centre.
Duration of course
2-year course + 1-year internship (mandatory)
Course fee (Two years)
Rs 30,000/- per year
Fee will be reduced from stipend at the rate of Rs 2500/- per month
Stipend
First year – Rs 10000/- per month
Second year – Rs 12000/- per month
Third year (Internship period)- Rs 16000/- per month.
Candidates residing out of Mumbai can be provided hostel facility on payment depending on availability.
