In football every season there are transfers of players happening around the leagues. Players are being bought if there is a bid from the buying club and the selling club is willing to sell their player with the player’s desire to join the new team. Imagine all this hectic negotiations are done, all teams have agreed, everyone is happy but still the transfer doesn’t take place! Why!? Because the player didn’t pass his medical to join the new club.
Here we look at 3 transfers that failed due to players not passing their medical:
Demba Ba
Demba Ba has recently joined Besikatas from Chelsea but former Chelsea, Newcastle, West Ham and Hoffenheim player had failed a medical with Stoke City. Finally he did move to England by joining West Ham United. Now a Besiktas player, Demba Ba showed brilliant form for Newcastle securing their top half of league standing but a move to Chelsea didn’t go well and eventually after being a bench player at Chelsea he has joined Besiktas.
Victor Valdes
It was agreed that Victor Valdes will be joining AS Monaco as soon as his Barcelona’s contract is up but unfortunately he was not able to pass his medical this season due to injury and now he is just a free agent who is injured. Valdes has been a great servant for Barcelona but he had to leave after contract expiry but was unable to join a club with regular football due to failing fitness test.
Loic Remy
Recently reports have arrived that Liverpool’s 8.5 million pound deal with QPR’s Loic Remy has failed because he failed the medical. That is a huge disappointment as Liverpool need players up front with Champions League football also coming next season but they failed to get such a great deal due to failure in medical test.
