Multi-Brand List Of Phones Receiving Android 4.4 Kitkat Update

With Nexus devices coming up with the 4.4 KitKat update, other brands also are gearing up to offer updates for their devices, whether new or current devices. No official dates for the updates but here is a list of the smartphones which are going to receive the update very soon.

Nexus Devices:

Google always launches the new new android versions in their nexus devices; this time also it has done the same. The 3 Nexus devices which already have the update are –

• Nexus 4
• Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013 edition)
• Nexus 10

Sony Xperia:

The official list of Xperia devices which will get the update is as follows –

• Sony Xperia Z
• Sony Xperia Z1
• Sony Xperia Z ultra
• Sony Xperia ZL
• Sony Xperia SP

Following is the list of devices which are rumored to receive the update –

• Sony Xperia V
• Sony Xperia T
• Sony Xperia TX
• Sony Xperia ZR

Samsung Galaxy:

Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the list of devices; leaked reports show that the following devices would get the KitKat update –

• Samsung Galaxy S4
• Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
• Samsung Galaxy S4 Active
• Samsung Galaxy S3
• Samsung Galaxy Note 2
• Samsung Galaxy Note 3
• Samsung Galaxy Mega (5.8 or 6.3 or may be both)
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0

HTC Smartphones:

Official confirmation from HTC says that the following devices will be getting the update soon –

• HTC One (802d, 802w, etc.)
• HTC J
• HTC ONE X
• HTC ONE X+
• HTC Droid DNA
• HTC Butterfly
• HTC Desire released in 2013

LG Smartphones:

As for now, Nexus 4 has received the update but LG has not yet confirmed any news about the 4.4 update –

• LG G2
• LG Optimus L7, L5, L3
• LG Optimus G
• LG Optimus G Pro
• LG Optimus VU
• LG Optimus VU 2

Motorola Smartphones:

Motorola has officially confirmed that the following devices will get the 4.4 KitKat update.
