Sweat and humidity has almost ruined our schedule and impacted health in severe manner. The water mass in the body is below the desired level and food is no longer tempting. In middle of such situation, few droplets of rain are all you need to replenish your mind. It is salient reminder that
“Good days are here again!!”
Whenever such a humid day arises I remember the motivating dialogue of Ranbir Kapoor in Wake up Sid “you just going to love the rains!!”
Still many people complain Railways service gets affected or water clogging in the areas, still I say there is no season that suits Bombay the most.
These shallow minded people haven’t yet seen Mumbai, or are just useless enough to complain about grey areas ignoring the excitement of monsoon.
You are not a Mumbaikar if you haven’t done any of the following:
High tide and rain imagine you are at chowpati of Girgaon, Bandra or Juhu. The sky is pouring and sea ricocheting, drenching you completely from left right and centre. Also these rains are delight for camera lovers. (And also lovers who like to go on long drives.)
How can u forget the hot and salted butaa of the coastline? Added with enough masala to blaze your mouth..ahhha!! (Never dare you call butaa a sweetcorn!)
I guess Mumbai is the only place in India where you can find a tea stall at every corner of city plus most of them are there for you in dead of night. Just imagine the same tea in rain…. Also add the famous Pakodes and Bhajjiyas.
Sudden chill that spreads through your body and mind when drenched in rain is unimaginable. Also the lush green surrounding that has once been a barren land in summer is also rejuvenation. And amid this a Rainbow is a cherry on the top.
Now dare anyone call names to the monsoon of Mumbai!! Have patience they are just a week away.
