For years I’ve been asked who my best friend is and I had no answer to give. I didn’t know what to say. Sure, I had my Mother and my sister with whom I share a lot and a few close friends who knew me well, but none whom I could call my best friend”. However, that has changed today because now I know who my best friend is, it is my Guardian Angel.
A while back ‘Angels’ only took me back to fairytales and fictional stories. As it happened, one day I picked up a book from my mother’s cupboard, called the “Angel Therapy” and began reading it. Why did I choose this particular book? Because it was the only book which was not covered in dust so it caught my eye and I picked it up. Growing up in an environment where the words ‘aura’ and ‘energies’ were very common, it didn’t take me long to understand different therapies. But who knew that I was going to read things that would change my perception of life and make me see things more clearly?
The book enlightened me about Angels and I was particularly attracted to Guardian Angels. Guardian Angels, who have been with us since birth, watching our every movement, knowing our every thought, understanding our every emotion and the best part, forgiving us for what we are not. That got me thinking, If our angels can be there for us at all times, if they can support us all the time and if they can forgive us for the worse we have done, why can’t we do the same? We criticize ourselves a bit too much and we carry around a lot of guilt, but what for? A simple line from a book made me realize that when we criticize ourselves and it doesn’t get us anywhere, maybe we should try to be good to ourselves and see the change. At least our angels are trying to do that.
When I look back in time, I see many events where I was piled up with unwanted things and no matter how much I tried, the pile wouldn’t reduce in size. But out of nowhere there rises the best solution to the problem and everything falls back in place. ‘How did that happen?’ I would think but I always brushed it away seeing no connection. But now I do. I had to just be at the right place at the right time and I would be blessed upon with my angel’s kindness.
The perfect lines for my guardian angel, as I remember from a quote, ‘my Angel may not be an extraordinary being with a halo. They are ordinary, but have such qualities that touch our heart and soul in special ways. They are truly our best friends’.
Now I know that if I ask for help, I will get it. No matter what the situation is, I will be looked upon. I know that when I am ready to jump, there is someone who will be there to catch me. Because that someone has always been catching me.
And I am forever grateful to my mother who decided to wipe off the dust from that book a day prior, because that way it was just waiting there for me to find it.
